Professor (Dr.) Hari Om Vats
DR. HARI OM VATS
Scientist of International Repute; Awarded by the Govt. of India with the Indira Gandhi Prize for Popularization of Science.
Dr. Vats was born in a village Kalina (Meerut) India. In 1970, he joined Physical Research Laboratory (PRL), Ahmedabad, after M.Sc Physics (Meerut University). He earned his Ph. D. (Gujarat University) for his research work on upper atmosphere. He was Professor of the UN-sponsored course on Space and Atmospheric Science (SAS) at PRL. He has published 118 research papers in the scientific journals and guided 6 scholars for Ph. D. work. He has worked on research programs in several centers e.g. at UC, San Diego USA, KSRC Japan and INPE Brazil. He has given 265 popular talks. He is the founder Director of Space Education and Research Foundation, Ahmedabad. He has translated 8 Space Science Comic Books in Hindi. These are available on SCOSTEP website. For space science popularization, he has visited several countries of Asia and Pacific region e.g. Bhutan, Nepal, Mongolia, Uzbekistan, Mauritius, Malaysia, Indonesia, Tajikistan, Lao PDR, Serbia and Vietnam.

Dr. Indu Kaushik is an MBBS (gold medalist), MD (topper) and having WHO fellowship in (IVF&Et). She has published/presented several research papers in international conferences such as in the British International Conference 2010, in the World Gynae Congress, South Africa, 2009, etc. Her latest publication was “Thyroxin for downregulation of Androgens in Bipolar disorders”, presented in the World Congress of Psychiatry, 2019, Portugal.
